School-Based Health
- Did you know that your child can get health & dental care at school? Lummi Tribal Health Center has a school-based health center located at Lummi Nation School.
- Who is eligible?
- Students enrolled at Lummi Nation School who have a medical chart with the Lummi Tribal Health Center and have signed parent/guardian consent are eligible. If your child does not have a chart with LTHC, our front desk staff can help create one.
- What services are provided?
- Well child exams and sports physicals
- Treatment for illness and injuries
- Reproductive health care
- Mental health care
- Health education
- Referrals to outside specialty services or imaging if needed

- Can parents be present for the appointment?
- We always encourage parents to be present (*with a few exceptions), either in person or over the phone. However, it is ok if you are unable to attend the appointment. We may contact you afterwards to hear your concerns and discuss the health care plan for your child.
- *Under WA state law, youth ages 13-17 may access reproductive and mental health care, and at times medical care, without parent consent.
