ACCREDITATION
The Lummi Tribal Health Center has achieved accreditation from the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care Inc. This means our organization has met the required standards in providing high quality care and services.
We have two types of services available:
- Direct Care: Any healthcare service provided at Lummi Tribal Health Center
- Purchased and Referred Care (formerly Contract Health): Purchased and Referred Care funds are designated to purchase approved health care services not provided at or by the Lummi Tribal Health Center.
The Purchased and Referred Care (PRC) program will assist eligible patients with payment for health care services provided at outside facilities. These services are intended to supplement, but not duplicate, the “direct services” available at the Lummi Tribal Health Center.
Federal Regulations require the use of the Payor of Last Resort Ruling; Meaning an individual is required to apply for an alternate insurance resource to be eligible for the PRC programs. Examples of Alternate Resources include Medicaid, Medicare and other state Insurance programs.
